Flying Fathers return to face local teachers in charity hockey game

The Flying Fathers hockey team will return to Essex County on Friday, November 25.

The Fathers, a team of hockey loving priests who play in support of local charities across North America, will play a group of local Catholic school teachers to raise money for a local charity.

The public are invited to attend the event at the Atlas Tube Centre – with puck drop at 7 p.m.

This promises to be an exciting and entertaining night of hockey for all those who attend with all proceeds from ticket sales go to support Second Chance Ministry, who provide outreach to the poor in the Windsor area in immediate need of practical or spiritual assistance.

“This is an amazing opportunity to see some entertaining hockey and support a great cause,” said Father Patrick Bénéteau, pastor of the Windsor-Lake St. Clair Catholic Family of Parishes, who are helping organize the event. “We want to sell out the arena and raise as much as we can for the amazing work done by Second Chance Ministry,” he added.

The Windsor Lake St. Clair Catholic Family of Parishes is comprised of Paroisse St-Jérôme (Windsor), Ste. Anne’s (Tecumseh), Good Shepherd (Lakeshore) and St. Simon & St. Jude (Belle River). www.catholicfamily.ca
