W-E Chamber hosts local Provincial election debate

The Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce hosted the first local Provincial election debate on Thursday at the Fogular Furlan Club in Windsor.

There were hour-long sessions dedicated to each of the three ridings: Essex, Windsor-Tecumseh and West Windsor

The Essex riding debate included the Ontario Party’s Frank Causarano, Anthony Leardi with the PC Party, and the NDP’s Ron LeClair.

Liberal candidate Manpreet Brar issued a media release stating she fell ill the night before the debate and would not be attending.

Participating candidates were asked about a number of issues including: Climate change, labour shortages and temporary foreign workers and the need for better broadband internet services.

YourTV Windsor recorded the debates and will air them Friday starting at 7 p.m.
