The Ontario Provincial Police Lakeshore Detachment is currently investigating a fatal collision on County Road 22.
On Saturday, May 6, at approximately 2 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police, Lakeshore Detachment, Lakeshore Fire Rescue and Essex-Windsor Emergency Medical Service responded to a two-vehicle collision on County Road 22, East of Wallace Line Road in the Municipality of Lakeshore.
It was determined that two vehicles travelling along County Road 22 collided head on.
As a result, one driver suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to local hospital where they were pronounced deceased. The driver of the second vehicle was treated on scene.
OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team is assisting Lakeshore officers with the investigation.
