LaSalle’s Seth Veres and Windsor’s Dan Deters wrapped up competition representing Canada at the IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship in Buffalo, NY. Playing against representatives of the United States and Poland at the tournament, Veres’ U16 team brought home the gold medal with a nail-biting 10-8 win over the US, while Deters’ U18 team captured silver after a valiant effort against a very tough American squad. Both young men competed for the Windsor Warlocks U17 team this summer, with Deters being named Warlocks’ Goalie of the Year for the season.
