A new school year means fresh new sports seasons for all our amazing athletes at Belle River District High School. Read more for a closer look into all the progress our teams have made so far.

Cross Country
The Nobles Cross Country Team went in to the WECSSAA Championship on October 16th with preparation and positivity, earning them many personal bests and even junior boys and girls team qualifications for SWOSSAA!

“I couldn’t be more proud of all their accomplishments… their hard work has really paid off.” said coach Ms. Pernal.

Sr. Girls Basketball
BRDHS’s Senior Girls basketball team have put forth tremendous amounts of hard work and determination this season using each game as an opportunity to extend their skills as a team and support one other.

“The coaches are incredibly proud of how much they have learned and how much they have grown as a team.” said Coach, Ms. Brosseau.

Jr. Girls Basketball
The Junior Girls basketball team started off their season with numerous victories. On October 15, the team earned a big win of 61-16 against Assumption College.

Jr. Football
The Junior Football team have won three of their four games so far this season. Most recently, they beat Cardinal Carter with a score of 27- 6.

Sr. Football
The Sr. Football team brought home a victory for BRDHS in their most recent game, 21-14 against St. Anne’s. The team continues to keep up the hard work in preparation for their upcoming games this season.

Golf
Belle River District High School Noble student Dayne Bensette is the 2024 WECSSAA Individual Golf Champion. BRDHS’s team tied for the WECSSAA Boy’s Golf Team title on the challenging Sutton Creek Golf course, earning them silver medals.

“The team was also able to gain the support of our school’s mascot Ned!” said Coach, Mr. Chudyk.

“Dayne looked at Ned and then birdied his final hole to qualify for OFSAA Boy’s Golf Championships in Timmons, Ontario to join the long and storied great tradition of golfing excellence at Belle River District High School.”

Tennis
BRDHS’s tennis team has put in a lot of hard work, which has been evident through their performance this season.

Coach, Mr. Williams said “We had a great group of students who had a lot of fun at the WECSSAA tournament.

Congratulations to Alex Bially and Nash Raymond who advanced to WECSSAA finals, where they finished 7th.”

Sr. Boys Volleyball
BRDHS’s Sr. Boys volleyball team is currently on a four-game winning streak. On October 17, they dominated the court against Walkerville, winning all three matches.
