After the temporary closure of the Stoney Point Library due to some issues with the structure, the Essex County Library is pleased to announce the branch is back open for business.
“This kind of extended disruption is never something that we want to see happen, but the community has stuck with us and been extremely patient while we were shut down. We’re excited to be back in business and are looking forward to getting back to regular service delivery in Stoney Point,” said Adam Craig, CEO/Chief Librarian.
Located in the Stoney Point Community Park, Craig says that the small libraries provide a very important service to these communities, and that was obvious from the calls and emails received from patrons during the closure.
They are happy to be back up and running and are excited to get back to regular hours of operation in Stoney Point.
“The people of Stoney Point been incredibly patient with us and we appreciate their continued support. We are very much looking forward to getting back to regular service, seeing our friends in the community and providing a space for folks to gather.” added Craig.
