The Town of LaSalle will conduct a test of its emergency mass notification system, LaSalle Alerts, on Friday, May 30.

LaSalle Alerts is designed to deliver critical public safety information during emergencies such as neighbourhood evacuations, boil water advisories, large fires or natural disasters.

Residents are encouraged to register in advance at www.lasallealerts.ca to ensure they are included in the system. Subscribers can choose how they wish to receive alerts—by text message, cell phone, landline and/or email.

“This system helps us reach the community quickly during emergencies that require immediate action,” town officials said in a statement.

Please note that LaSalle Alerts is not used for weather warnings.

For more details and to sign up for notifications, visit the LaSalle Alerts page on the Town of LaSalle’s official website.
