The Belle River Lions Club teamed up with Foodland to raise funds in support of diabetes research during their annual “Loose Change for Diabetes” campaign.
Lions Club members greeted shoppers at the Belle River Foodland, collecting spare change and donations from generous community members to help find a cure for diabetes.
Lion Debbie Lemire presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Kristen Krahn, Supervisor at Foodland, thanking the store for once again hosting the event and supporting the club’s ongoing efforts.
“We’re so grateful to Foodland and to everyone in our community who donated,” said Lion Joyce Mahovlich. “Every bit of change helps make a difference in the fight against diabetes.”
