The Municipality of Lakeshore has launched a new online tool to help residents learn about upcoming capital project work happening in the community this year.

The map, which can be found online at Lakeshore.ca/ProjectMap, highlights the location of significant projects throughout Lakeshore as well as descriptions, budget information, and stage of the project.

“It’s one thing to see millions of dollars’ worth of work written in our budget documents but putting those projects on a map really shows the incredible amount of work we’re doing,” said Lakeshore mayor Tom Bain. “Investing in capital projects has been a priority for Council, and this map helps us tell that story, to communicate the scope and scale of these critical infrastructure investments.”

Residents also have the option to search for projects happening in their own neighbourhood.

“This is a great step forward in making it easy for residents and taxpayers to find the information they are looking for,” added Bain.

The map includes projects from the 2022 Municipal Budget, as well as several carried forward from 2021 and 2020.

The map can be accessed using a computer/laptop, smart phone, or tablet device. It can be viewed directly on Lakeshore’s website or expanded into a new window.
