Visitors to the Municipality of Lakeshore’s recreation facilities will NO longer be required to provide proof of vaccination, after the Province lifted several public health restrictions last week.
The change affects all Lakeshore recreation facilities including the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre, Comber Community Centre, and Libro Community Centre. Spectator capacity limits at these facilities have also been lifted.
“This is another step in the right direction, and we’re excited to see the scaling back of public health restrictions at our recreation facilities,” said Lakeshore mayor Tom Bain. “We’re cautiously getting back to normal which also means a full line-up of programs designed for people of all ages and abilities.”
Registration for the following programs opens Monday, March 7:
- Stroller Fit: Mondays from 10:45 to 11:35 a.m. and Thursdays from 11a.m. to 11:50 a.m. at the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre.
- Body Tone: Wednesdays from 9:45 to 10:35 a.m. at the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre.
- Hatha (Gentle) Yoga: Mondays from 7:00 to 7:50 p.m. at the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre.
- Zoomers Fitness: Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:00 to 1:50 p.m. at the Libro Community Centre and Mondays from 2:45 to 3:35 p.m. at Comber Community Centre.
Ongoing Health Measures
Visitors to Lakeshore facilities will be required to wear a mask covering their nose and mouth and undergo COVID-19 screening measures.
