This week marks the opening of the candidate nomination period for municipal elections across Ontario.
In the Municipality of Lakeshore, prospective candidates may download and review nomination packages on the Candidate Information page.
To file nomination forms, candidates are encouraged to make an appointment with the Civic Affairs division by contacting 519-728-1975 ext. 265 to ensure availability.
Candidate nomination forms, plus applicable fees, can be filed in person during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) at Lakeshore Town Hall, 419 Notre Dame Street, Belle River. Nomination forms will be accepted until the end of the nomination period on August 19, 2022, at 2 p.m.

Lakeshore residents who are interested in voting in the municipal election can review eligibility requirements, frequently asked questions, and more on the Voter Information page.
Prospective voters can check their voter registration information by visiting VoterLookup.ca.
