Bain announces intentions to run for mayor this fall

Tom Bain has announced he will seek re-election in this fall’s municipal election.

Bain, current Lakeshore mayor for 16-years, officially filed his nomination papers last Thursday.

With over 40 years of municipal government service, Bain believes there is still plenty of work yet to do across the Lakeshore region.

The only other candidate running for mayor in Lakeshore, is current deputy mayor Tracey Bailey, who filed her nomination papers in May.

The last day to file nomination papers is Fri., Aug. 19.

The municipal election is scheduled for Mon., Oct. 24.
