Arrest made in multiple break and enters across the County

On December 14, the Ontario Provincial Police Essex County Street Crime Unit arrested a suspect involved in multiple break and enters and thefts from businesses in the Towns of Tecumseh and Essex, and the Municipalities of Leamington and Lakeshore, between September 30 and December 10, 2022.

A 29-year-old Windsor man was arrested and charged with the following offences, pursuant to the Criminal Code:

  • Arson – Damage to Property
  • Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence
  • Break, Enter a place – with intent to commit indictable offence
  • Dangerous operation
  • Disguise with Intent
  • Flight from peace officer
  • Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court
  • Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – in Canada
  • Robbery with Violence
  • Theft Under $5000
  • Theft Under $5000 – Shoplifting

The accused remains in custody and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice-Windsor.

This is an ongoing investigation.

  1. This is the SAME young man who was arrested in 2019 for a local stabbing incident. I guess he wasn’t rehabilitated enough? Three strikes & you’re out???
