Windsor Regional Hospital encourages all to register consent for organ and tissue donation

Staff Reporter

April is BeADonor Month in Ontario – a chance to encourage more Ontarians to register consent for organ and tissue donation and join the more than four million people across Ontario who have already registered. Registering gives hope to the almost 1,400 Ontarians currently waiting for a lifesaving transplant.

Windsor Regional Hospital is doing its part to spread awareness. Look to our social media pages on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram throughout the month of April which will promote local stories of those whose lives have been impacted by someone’s Gift of Life. We will also dispel myths by presenting facts about organ and tissue donation throughout the month as well.

You can participate too. Are you registered? You can check whether your consent to organ and tissue donation is recorded, or join the many Ontarians who are already registered to give the Gift of Life. Hundreds of former and current WRH employees registered through here – Windsor Regional Hospital wants Windsor-Essex to ‘Recycle Yourself’ and become a Organ and Tissue Donor (beadonor.ca). It’s easy – all that’s required is your health card number and two minutes of your time!
