Sandwich senior football is off to an amazing start, with a win over school archrival Villanova with a final score of 20 -10 on the night of the Sabres’ 55th reunion.
Quarterback Aiden Britton had two passing touchdowns, Running Backs Spencer Hyjek and Eli Dobsky had outstanding games with one touchdown each, and DBs Jakob Zanutto and Luke Galvin had defensive masterclasses, topped off by an interception and a crucial tip in the
4th quarter, respectively.
After the game, Hyjek stated “We’re looking to go undefeated, and do the best we can to win out.” While a hefty goal, the Sabres certainly got off to a great start and are looking forward to their next games of the season.
