The LaSalle Stompers Soccer Club has reached an impressive milestone.
Collectively, the Stompers have kicked into high gear year after year to raise over $100,000 for the Transition To Betterness organization over six years of partnership – a superb goal that patients and families are grateful for.
T2B is dedicated to providing comfort to patients and their families impacted by a life-altering illness.
“A huge thank you to LaSalle Stompers Soccer Club for choosing T2B as recipients of this fantastic fundraiser in memory of the loved and generous Bonnie Petric, who helped run the clubhouse,” said Amber Hunter, executive director of T2B. “We cannot thank enough Tasha Hummell and the Lasalle Soccer Club for their passion and hard work in cultivating another successful year of soccer,”
Throughout the Stompers Day of Champions weekend held in September, the organization raised $26,192.00 to help support T2B and their comfort-based programs.
“Our club is about so much more than just soccer, giving back to the community and helping those in need, are always at the top of our list. This year, donating over 10,000 items to the local St Andrews food bank, and now My heart is so full,” said Tasha Hummell.
“This partnership warms my heart and my mom would be so proud knowing we are continuing her legacy of helping people who are in need. She would also be so proud that we added Stefano Chisesi and his family, to this amazing event. My father Ivan was Stefanos first soccer coach, and it’s an honour to be able to honour him alongside my mom. Transition to Betterness helped my family so much through my mother’s final days and hours, as they do for so many local families.
According to Hummell, 2025 is LaSalle Stompers 30th anniversary and they hope to have a record breaking year with their annual fundraisers.
“Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen. We look forward to continuing our partnership for many years to come. We welcome all sponsors, and donations to help making this event bigger than ever,” added Hummell.
Soccerfest will be held on June 21 and 22 in 2025.
“It was a wonderful day of soccer, food, and fun! The real MVPs were the kids playing their hearts out!
Great job.” added Hunter. “Thank you to our volunteers for running the BBQ and servicing the hungry players and families!
