Municipal offices and services

All municipal offices in Lakeshore and surrounding municipalities — including Essex, Kingsville, Tecumseh, Amherstburg and Leamington — will be closed on Easter Monday, April 1. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, April 2.

Essential services such as fire, police and emergency medical services will continue uninterrupted throughout the weekend. For municipal emergencies, after-hours contact information is available on each municipality’s website.

Transfer stations and public drop-off depots will be open with regular hours on Easter Monday. Hours may vary by location, so residents are advised to check with their local public works department or waste authority for updates.

Leamington to Windsor Transit (LTW Transit) and Tecumseh Transit will not run on Easter Sunday. Service will resume on Easter Monday with standard weekday hours.

LCBO and Beer Store locations across the region will be closed on Easter Sunday. Some stores may open on Easter Monday with modified hours. Shoppers are encouraged to check the store locator on the LCBO or Beer Store websites for specific hours.

Health care services

Hospitals in Windsor and Essex County, including Windsor Regional Hospital and Erie Shores HealthCare, will continue to offer emergency services throughout the weekend.

Outpatient services, lab testing, and non-urgent clinics will not operate on Easter Sunday or Easter Monday. Most COVID-19 and flu assessment centres, as well as vaccination clinics, will also be closed on both days.

Pharmacies will vary in hours, with some open at reduced capacity. Residents should contact their local pharmacy or consult the Ontario pharmacy locator tool online for more information.
