It’s the perfect way to toast the end of summer with friends and neighbours.
LaSalle’s third annual Last Call Before Fall event in collaboration with Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island, returns on Friday, September 5 and Saturday, September 6. The LCBF features partners from the Barrels, Bottles, and Brews Trail and Essex Pelee Island Coast Wineries.
Guests are invited to unwind under bistro lights and taste the bold reds and crisp whites from the Lake Erie North Shore wine region and explore premium spirits, ciders, and craft beers featuring some of the finest ales, lagers and stouts.
“Last year there were approximately 1750 people who attended the event,” said Scott Bisson, manager of Culture and Recreation for the Town of LaSalle. “This year we are expecting just as many people through the doors.”
Participating breweries include: Kingsville Brewery, Windmill Ridge Acres, GL Heritage Brewing Co., Frank Brewing, Fat Lou and Top Dog Brewing. This year’s Wineries will include: Sprucewood Shores, Viewpoint Estate Winery, Vivace Estate Winery, Copper Rose Distillery and Wolfhead Distillery.
Local food trucks will be offering delicious foods for purchase throughout the night and include: Mojo’s Rollin Tacos, Oven 360, Sammy’s Q and Whamburger. Bisson says they are working on bringing in mocktails for those who choose not to imbibe.
“We are really pleased to have a great selection of local beer, wine and spirits,” said Bisson. “And, support these local businesses and give residents the chance to sample some great products.”
Entertainment will be provided by local musicians who will bring the stage to life and keep the good vibes flowing all night long. Friday night’s headliner, Carson Janik, hailing from Tecumseh, Ontario, is making big noise in the Canadian Country Music scene. If you crave authentic country music with an edge, you need to experience Carson Janik live.
Saturday night headliner Bigg Wiggle has built itself a reputation as one of the most consistently popular bands in Essex County featuring a blend of musical styles, including dance, rock, funk, retro, country, classic rock, and groove.
“We also want to make sure we share that we want people to drink responsibly so, we have a shuttle that is running from the Vollmer Centre on both days. We encourage the use of UBER or taxi cabs,” added Bisson.
Last Call Before Fall takes place at the Event Centre at the LaSalle Landing waterfront at 970 Front Road.
Tickets are $25 per night and are being sold exclusively online. Onsite, you can purchase $2 drink tokens to taste something new or enjoy your favourites.
“We are proud to host this vibrant event that showcases our region. From the first pour to the last song, it’s a celebration of local flavours, live music, and unforgettable memories,” says Mayor Crystal Meloche.
