As the fall sports season wraps up at Belle River District High School, the Nobles celebrate months of dedication and growth. This season brought intense competition, remarkable achievements, and the unmistakable spirit that defines the Nobles.

Football
The football team delivered an unforgettable season, finishing undefeated with a 7–0 record. Averaging 35 points per game while allowing just 7, the team’s explosive offense and relentless defense were keys to their dominance. On November 15, the Nobles clinched the AA WECSSAA Championship at St. Clair Stadium, edging North Star Worlds 29-22 in a thrilling, hard-fought contest. With the win, they advance to Kingston for the OFSAA Bowl Series, eager to continue their impressive run.

Junior Boys Volleyball
The Junior boys’ volleyball team posted a strong 6-2 record, powered by teamwork and tenacity. Consistent serving, solid defense, and a blend of veteran leadership and emerging talent fueled their success. Even in tough matches, the team showed resilience and used setbacks as opportunities to improve. Their growth and dedication this season set a promising foundation for the future.

Senior Boys Volleyball
The Senior boys’ volleyball squad ended their season with a dramatic five-set battle against the Assumption Raiders. Standout performances included Riley Drummond earning first team all-star honors and Alex Bially making the second team all-star. Their determination in high-pressure moments reflected the Nobles’ competitive spirit.

Junior Girls Basketball
The Junior Girls basketball team demonstrated remarkable progress, with many freshmen gaining valuable experience and confidence. Leadership from point guard Mai Linh Le and the relentless effort of Olivia Sleiman were crucial. Lillian Ashton and Mae McFarlane stood out for their dynamic contributions in their first year. Though the season concluded with a tough quarter-final loss to the Essex Raiders, the team’s potential promises a bright future.

Senior Girls Basketball
The Senior Girls basketball team’s season ended in the semi-finals against eventual champions Tecumseh Vista, but not without a display of heart and resilience. Julia Cooney’s selection as a first team all-star and third-place finish in overall voting was a highlight. As seniors Katie Crew, Cameron McNeily, and Alexa Beach graduate, their leadership leaves a strong legacy and a solid foundation for next year’s team to build on.

Cross-Country
Congratulations to our Novice and Senior Girls cross-country teams, who competed at SWOSSAA on October 23rd. Most runners set personal bests, and coaches were thrilled by their determination. Gabriella Draca led the way, finishing in the top 30 of the Senior Girls division. Coach Ms. Pernal commended the entire team’s effort and looks forward to further success in coming seasons.

Tennis
Alex Bially and Nash Raymond captured both the WECSSAA and SWOSSAA High School Boys’ Doubles Tennis Championships, punching their ticket to the OFSAA Tennis Championships in Toronto. There, they showcased exceptional skill and teamwork, winning their opening match and pushing their final two opponents to third-set tie-breakers. Despite fierce competition, their sportsmanship and perseverance made the BRDHS community proud.

Alex and Nash’s achievements highlight the strength of the school’s tennis program and serve as inspiration for future Nobles athletes.

As the fall season concludes, BRDHS celebrates the commitment, teamwork, and growth shown by all student-athletes. The experiences and accomplishments of this season have set a high bar for the winter sports ahead.
