The Greater Essex County District School Board has purchased 5.7 acres of land for a new elementary school in Lakeshore.
The property is located just west of Rourke Line Road and north of Girard Drive. The address of the property is 1469 County Road 22 in Lakeshore.
The new school will have 582 pupils designed to accommodate recent residential growth in the area and alleviate some of the enrolment pressures being experienced at both Belle River Public School and Lakeshore Discovery School.
Funding of $13.02 million for the school was granted by the Government of Ontario
